Presenter: James K. Lehman, CPA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CPC

We want to live our lives and go after our dreams. However, there is virtually no guarantee of a long tenured career. We live in a changing world.  What can we do to ensure we realize our dreams and our career aspirations?

Most of us spend more time planning our vacation than we do planning our career.  And, guess what, nobody is going to do it for us!  With more than 20 Career Transitions, James speaks the truth of real lessons learned.  Research tells us that 87% of us do not have passion for our work, and that 82% of managers do not have the talent required for their role.  It is no wonder that the average number of career transitions is 6 – and going up.

In this Speaker Series presentation, James will highlight 4 of the 20 strategies detailed in his award-winning book, Maneuvering Your Career, and help you get started on a Business Plan for your Career.  In his presentation, James will introduce us to (1) Breaking the Rules; (2) Knowing What’s Hot; (3) Learning for Life; and (4) Building Your Network.
