Friends of the Conservatory Membership

Founded in 1916 as the Conservatory Trustees, the Friends of the Conservatory of Music and Dance’s mission has remained the same: to provide vital support for scholarships and fellowships for Conservatory students. The Friends have provided more than $1.5 million in financial support for Conservatory students since 1996 through membership dues and money raised from Crescendo, one of Kansas City’s premier arts events.

Your gift makes a difference!

Your membership in the Friends of the Conservatory provides life-changing experiences for our students including the opportunity for them to perform at the world-class Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and travel the world to enhance their artistic studies.

"My time in Tianjin, China, opened my eyes to other facets of the artistic world, and allowed me to forge a deeper connection with other cultures. I was honored to represent our school. I will be forever grateful.”  Alexis, B.F.A. ’15

Your generosity helps ensure the future of our students and the performing arts through the UMKC Conservatory.
