Event Description - Agapito Mendoza Scholarship Breakfast









Proceeds from the Breakfast will benefit UMKC’s Latino Student Scholarship Fund,
available for students studying in any discipline - distributed every semester.


KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Associate Professor Theresa Torres
We are pleased to announce Dr. Theresa Torres, associate professor in the Latina/Latino Studies Program and Department of Sociology at UMKC, as the keynote speaker of this event.  Her interdisciplinary approach to research and scholarship has given her expertise in the fields of Race and Ethnicity, Latina/Latino Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, and Religious Studies.  She is an active member of several boards which serve the Hispanic community of Kansas City.

Includes table for eight and recognition on event tables
($288 is tax deductible and will go toward scholarships)

Table Sponsor - $300
Includes table for eight
($188 is tax deductible and will go toward scholarships)

Individual Sponsor - $38
($24 is tax deductible and will go toward scholarships)

All sponsors must register by Friday,  March 14, 2014.

If you are unable to attend the event, or would like to make a donation above and beyond your sponsor level, you can donate via the link below.  In the form’s comment section, list the name of the scholarship you want your gift to go toward - "Latina/Latino Student Scholarship Fund".  You can also choose to split your gift between various funds.
