New season, new athletic conference for UMKC soccer teams

Fall is around the corner, and the UMKC soccer teams are getting ready for the season ahead. Season tickets for the 2013-14 men’s and women’s soccer seasons at UMKC  are now on sale. The teams, which play at the Durwood Soccer Stadium and Recreational Field, begin play in mid-August. 

The men's team returns 15 letter winners and nine starters this season, and boasts a class of 11 newcomers to the mix as well. Season ticket packages for all eight men’s games are $30 and include matches with in-town rival Rockhurst on Aug. 18 and Big Ten power Wisconsin on Aug. 31. The Roos also will play five conference games as the team makes its debut in the Western Athletic Conference.  Fans can also purchase the “Family Four-Pack" for $95 that includes four season tickets.
 
Women’s soccer packages are similarly priced, and feature 10 matches, including in-state power Missouri (Sept. 1), Creighton (Sept. 10) and five WAC contests.

Single game tickets can be purchased at $7 for reserved chair back seating or $5 for general admission. Fans can also rent the Durwood Soccer Stadium VIP Suite, which accommodates as many as 15 people and includes complimentary snacks and soft drinks, for $150 per game.
