Drive with Pride

Show your UMKC pride and support UMKC student scholarships at the same time with this official state of Missouri collegiate license-plate program. These license plates are only available to registered Missouri vehicles.

One-year or two-year registrations are available, depending on your car's make or model. One-year registrations are available at any time. Missouri law, however, allows two-year registrations only during even-numbered years for even-model-year vehicles and odd-numbered years for odd-model-year vehicles.

The cost for the collegiate plates for each vehicle is a minimum donation of $25 ($50 for two-year registrations) to the UMKC License Plate Scholarship Fund PLUS the vehicle-licensing fee paid to the Missouri Department of Revenue. Each license plate has the option of having a personalized message with up to six letters, numbers or characters.

Plate Renewal

When renewing your plates, remember to take a current Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS) along with the other forms required by the Department of Revenue for renewal of your plates to your local license office. In order to obtain a current EUAS, you will first need to make your tax-deductible donation of $25 ($50 for biennial renewal) by either filling out the form online or completing this downloadable form as you would if you were a first time applicant. First Time Applicants - How to:

First, you make a tax-deductible donation of $25 ($50 for two-year registrations) to the UMKC License Plate Scholarship Fund by filling out the application online or if you prefer, by sending a check to:

Please include this downloadable form with your check. You may also e-mail (alumni@umkc.edu) the form with your credit card donation.

Second, after you submit your application and donation, UMKC will send you an Emblem Use Authorization Statement (EUAS). The logo use authorization form is proof that you contributed to UMKC, and will be required when you submit your plate application.

To complete your application, you must also fill out a personalized plate application (Form 1716). If you prefer, you may fill Form 1716 online. Under "Type of License Plate to Be Issued" check "Collegiate (Personalized)" and place UMKC in the blank.

UMKC plates are personalized plates and may contain up to six alphanumeric characters for your personalized configuration. To check to see if a personalized configuration is available, contact the Missouri Department of Revenue by e-mail at mvbmail@dor.mo.gov.

All UMKC plates are personalized plates and require an annual $15 personalization fee in addition to the required donation to UMKC and any vehicle-licensing fees.

Next, mail your Form 1716, EUAS and $15 personalized plate fee to:

Finally, your plates will be ordered by the Department of Revenue. You will be notified by mail when your plates are available for pick up at your local license office. All questions about processing should be directed to the Missouri Department of Revenue by e-mail at mvbmail@dor.mo.gov.
