  • Additional Information on the Law Alumni Directory
    • Getting started

      • This directory is a closed community viewable only by your fellow UMKC Law School graduates.
      • You must be logged in to search.
      • There are two searches - Basic and Advanced
      • At the bottom of the directory page, you’ll find a button that allows you to switch to the Advanced option if you need a few more options to search by.

      Blind e-mails

      • Your e-mail address is hidden until you respond!
      • Once you find who you are looking for, you can send them a blind e-mail.
      • When sending a blind e-mail you cannot see the person’s e-mail address until they respond to your e-mail.  This protects the recipient’s contact information until they decide to contact you.
      • Conversely, your e-mail address is hidden until you decide to respond to someone who has sent you an e-mail via the directory.

      Personal contact information

Some information is automatically hidden from view, including

      • All of your e-mail addresses
      • Home/business street address and zip code
      • All of your phone numbers
      • The only thing viewable about you in the search engine is your name, school and graduation year.
      • You can choose to allow other things in your profile to be seen by clicking on "hide/show" in your profile.

      Respectful, spam-free zone

  • Privacy
    • What can people see about me when they search?

The only thing your fellow alumni can see about you is your name, your school and your graduation year.  You can go into your profile and unhide additional information like your Practice Settings, your Practice Area, or your State Bar Admissions.

Blind e-mails - Your e-mail address is hidden until you respond!

Once you find who you are looking for in the Law Directory, you can send that person a blind e-mail.  When sending a blind e-mail you cannot see the person’s e-mail address until they respond to your e-mail.  This protects the recipient’s contact information until they decide to contact you.  Conversely, your e-mail address is hidden until you decide to respond to someone who has sent you an e-mail via the Law Directory.

Some parts of your personal contact information are always hidden from view until you decide to unhide them:

      • All of your e-mail addresses
      • Home/business street address and zip code
      • All of your phone numbers
      • You can choose to allow information in your profile to be seen by clicking on "hide/show" in your profile.
