Engaging alumni in extraordinary programs and experiences
The Alumni Association works diligently to keep alumni connected and engaged through UMKC's schools and colleges. Our goal is to help connect fellow classmates, support current
students, network or just stay on top of what’s happening at UMKC. The Alumni Association is partnering with Career Services, the Professional Career Escalators program and the First Gen Roo Program to provide volunteer opportunities to mentor students and new
resources for career and professional development.
In addition, the Alumni Association publishes the
award-winning Perspectives magazine and produces alumni e-newsletters, websites and communications.
Association Mission
The mission of the Alumni Association is to provide a lifetime link to UMKC for alumni and friends to support
the mission and goals of the university and to help it achieve its
potential. We do this by:
- For promoting and furthering education in the state of Missouri
by aiding, extending, furthering and calling to public attention the
work of the University of Missouri - Kansas City;
- To support, maintain and direct to educational ends the alumni
activities of the Association and former students of said university;
- Demonstrate loyalty to alma mater;
- Share in its problems and progress;
- Form a closer bond among the alumni;
- Administer and support a program participated in by alumni from all schools and colleges within the university; and
- Do all things related thereto.
