Enactus Project Fund

Enactus is a community of student, academic, and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives, and shape a better, more sustainable world.

Each year the UMKC Enactus team creates projects that make sustainable differences in the community. Being a member of the UMKC Enactus team offers students an opportunity to face challenges they would not encounter in the classroom, enabling them to learn from real-world experiences while empowering their community.

Please consider helping the Enactus team advance its successful portfolio of projects. The goal is to develop real-world solutions for real-world problems – and we would not be able to do that without you.

Current projects include:

  • Generation Green: Reduces waste in landfills by giving purpose to wasted plastic. The project's vision is to bolster interactive learning by repurposing plastic into convenient classroom materials and provide economical, durable, environment-friendly wet and dry erase boards.

  • FeedKC: Redistributes excess food from restaurants and grocery stores to food banks in the Kansas City Area.  The project hopes to see a reduction in wasted food and empty stomachs.

  • Cultura En Tus Manos: Empowers artisans in Mexico to craft a stronger economic future and to help preserve a country’s cultural traditions through art. The project seeks to help artisans expand their market opportunities using technology to sell their art online to businesses, training them on how to run their own e-commerce business, and enable them the resources they need to flourish.

  • Fashionnovation:  Reduces clothing waste and clothing insecurity by collecting donations and dispersing them to people and groups in need as well as repurposing damaged clothing/scraps into new commercial products.

  • Project AIR: Provides education training for post-high school, such as resume building, how to apply for jobs, and professional development.
